Runco presents the Crystal Series CX-40HD  and CX-46HD LCD Flat Panel Display, perfect for those who demand their award-winning flat panel performance in a more intimate size than they offer with their larger plasma monitors. The Crystal Series LCD Displays are ideal for close-in viewing where picture quality remains a high priority, but larger displays cannot be accommodated. Its spectacular 1080p resolution is the highest available.

The Crystal Series CX-40HD LCD Display incorporate Runco’s superb Vivix™ digital video processing to produce outstanding picture quality with a wide range of both standard and high definition source material. In addition, the handsome, gloss black-finish television is engineered with ISF™ calibration standards for the purest video performance.

The CX-40HD and CX-46HD LCD Displays also feature a built-in ATSC tuner that receives terrestrial DTV broadcasts, in addition to an advanced, 185 channel, cable-ready NTSC stereo tuner. It offers PIP, PBP, closed captioning, Parental Control (V-Chip) functionality and multi-language support.

The SP-42DHD and the SP-50DHD include Runco's renowned DHD controller. Simplified installation is made possible with all inputs going to the rack mountable DHD controller and only one video and one control connection between the Controller and the display. Additionally, the DHD Controller allows advanced image quality adjustments, resulting in the most accurately calibrated image a plasma display could have.

The VX-22d is supplied with Runco’s latest, next generation all digital DHD controller, featuring advanced Vivix II™ video processing, superb scaling and aspect ratio control. The VX-22d and DHD connect via a DVI-D Dual Link cable for a pure digital signal path from input to output.

The VX-22d is enhanced further by motorized AxiShift™ horizontal and vertical lens shift capability for maximum installation flexibility. Additional features include Runco’s newest cinema-quality CinOptx™ lenses and O-Path™ light path enhancement technology for stunningly sharp video.

Video Xtreme VX-2ix

Runco stepped into the future two years ago with the Video Xtreme™ VX-2ix Digital Light Processing (DLP™) Projector, one of the first DLP projectors to offer a 16:9 native resolution, 3-chip system for home theater.

The VX-2ix optical light engine utilizes three advanced, 16:9 Digital Micromirror Device™ (DMD™) chips featuring 1280 x 720, high-definition resolution and 12-degree mirror tilt for unsurpassed black level performance.

The VX-2ix is equipped with an embedded, all-digital signal processor/controller featuring advanced Vivix II™ video processing, superb scaling and aspect ratio control. Runco’s exclusive LiveLink™ DVI cable system circuitry is integrated into the projector to preserve HD signal quality over long runs.

CineWide with AutoScope technology provides uncompromised widescreen reproduction of movies originally filmed in the CinemaScope™ 2.35:1 format. It maintains constant vertical height on the screen just as in a movie theater. When a viewer transitions from 1.78:1 (16:9) program material to 2.35:1, the image simply gets wider while full height is maintained.

Through a combination of software, electronics and remote controlled motorized anamorphic optics, each projector is able to use the full pixel array on its SuperOnyx™ DMD™ chips, thereby producing a 2.35:1 image with enhanced resolution and increased brightness. No resolution is lost to annoying black stripes on the top and bottom of the screen that contain no picture information.
